Putting together the big jigsaw puzzle.
Melbourne Water provides programs which can support your water cycle education. Consider bringing your students to one of the Treatment Plants. During the Western Treatment Plant tour, visitors will travel by bus (provided by the school) to see the plant. Western Treatment Plant is an acknowledged world leader in technical and environmental innovation.
The Eastern Treatment Plant provides a walking tour of how 40 per cent of Melbourne's sewage, or about 310 million litres a day, is treated.
Email tours@melbournewater.com.au to make arrangements for a session which will meet the needs of your group.
Tours of Winneke Water Treatment Plant, Yan Yean Reservoir and Maroondah Reservoir are also available. For more information and program costs, contact EcoAdventure Tours on 5962 5115 or visit ecoadventuretours.com.au.

We can help keep our waterways clean.
2010 is the 20th Anniversary of Clean Up Australia Day. If each and every Australian picks up JUST 1 piece of rubbish, we'll pick up 10 times more than last year. That's around 20 million pieces.
Consider registering your school and participating this year to do your bit to keep rubbish from the school yard can ending up down the drain and out into the bay.
Register your school to participate in Clean up Australia Day on 5 March. Some suggested classroom activities, advice on how to make the day an event and assistance on creating your own website is included.
Check out how people all around the world celebrate World Water Day or list your own event.
Your students can be part of the Student's Give Water a Voice Contest. Entries can be posters, stories, poems and video. Students will be asked to depict the ‘Life of Troubled Water’ in their community. Entries close on 22 March 2010.
